Barcelona Museum of Modern Art
Carrer Angels, Barcelona, Spain
About the company:
The Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona opened its doors on November 28, 1995. As befits museums of this type, the Museum of Modern Art is located in an equally modern building in the central part of the city.
The museum building is an impressive white structure of regular shape, where one of the sides is glass. The author of the project is Richard Meyer.
The exposition of the museum presents works of art mainly by modern Spanish artists of the second half of the XX century. The works of contemporary artists are presented in expositions, which are divided into three periods: the first covers the 40s and 60s of the last century, the second - the 60s and 70s, and the third period - from the 70s to the present day.
In addition to temporary exhibitions, which change every 3-4 months, the museum houses a permanent exhibition of contemporary works of art.
