The magical waterfalls of Castilla

Just an hour’s drive from the city of Burgos is an amazing place – a small village of Orbaneja de Castiyo, which literally cuts through the rapid and very picturesque waterfall.

Water flows with noise fall down from a height of 20 m, overcoming ledges and terraces and dissolving in the clear-turquoise waters of natural pools.
Hundreds of streams and streams wash moss overgrown stones and merge into small waterfalls and cascades, break down from ledges and fill mountain bowls, shimmer over the top, create new waterfalls. The contemplation of the waterfall distracts from everyday bustle and worries, the calm murmur of the water fascinates and pacifies.
Then the waterfall flows into the river Ebro, flowing along the gorge. On the other side of the village, the gorge is framed by bizarre rock shapes, similar to non-man-made pillars, columns and arches.

From the north of Burgos a thousand years ago, the Reconquista began - the conquest of Spain from the Moors, and these lands keep the memory of these legendary events.
