Excursion to Alpuharra with a licensed guide.

Description:

Is it possible to describe the whimsical landscape of the mountainous edge located on the southern side of the Sierra Nevada? A place that became the cradle of nationalities, thanks to the magnetic beauty of its own hollows and hills? Places that have served as a multicultural crossroads of different nationalities that once possessed it, or had the good fortune to be present in it? Of course not. This is the case when it is better to see once than to read even the most exquisite text. But what do we do? I'll try. Friends, this is Alpuhara.

Many nationalities at different times were seduced by the beauty and abundance of these places. For example, from the ancient Phoenicians and Iberians, there are many wonderful tales and legends, written in the cool shadow of these gorges and inspired by the singing mountain wind.

The Greeks were here. They left behind centuries of olive trees. They are firmly rooted in rocky soil, and their thirst for life, symbolize the freedom-loving and life-affirming burrows of those who lived on this land and planted them.

Then the Romans came here. From them remained strong bridges - masterpieces of engineering thought of those years, and centuries-old oaks - living witnesses of the times of the great Roman Empire.

There were also Arabs, who also contributed to the life and history of Alpuharra. They brought with them agriculture and various crafts. Brave, authentic architecture reminds us of their presence here, and makes a reference to the distant past.

By the way, the trip here will appeal to people of different tourist preferences, because almost the entire region is located in the Sierra Nevada National Park.

In addition to the contemplation of marvelous natural beauties, here you can see the works of human hands: crafts rooted deep in history. For example, you can visit weaving, leather and jewelry workshops, small factories for the production of goat cheese, chocolate or IVF wineries.

To escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, the hot asphalt and the crowds of tourists scurrying along it – is this not what everyone wants? Escape to the coolness of the majestic mountains, where history hovers in the air, and each pebble tells its own, centuries-old biography. What could be better? Walk through Alpujarra on white horses! But keep in mind that you will have to buy a roomy baggage, because there will be too many amazing impressions. They just won't fit in with what's already there!

It is also possible to visit the Buddhist center or get acquainted with the original villages of Andalusia, including one of the highest mountains in all of Spain!
