3718 m Sunrise at El Teide Peak
Description:
The most unusual, the most unforgettable, the most exciting, the most beautiful, the most romantic and the most extreme event that can happen to you in Tenerife is the meeting of a new day on the highest peak of Spain and the Atlantic Ocean, at the peak of the dormant volcano El Teide. Its height above sea level is 3718 meters. Without a doubt, you will be amazed not only by the sunrise at the highest point in Spain, but also by the whole night preceding the sunrise, you will discover the starry sky in all its glory and purity. After all, it is not for nothing that here, on Teide, there is the famous astronomical observatory Izagna, which, together with the Observatory Roque de los Muchachos of the island of La Palma, is part of the Northern European Observatory. The high transparency of the atmosphere, so inherent in Tenerife in general and Teide in particular, will allow you to observe a number of stars that you will not see anywhere else. And that's not all. Our tour consists of two parts. Part one is a sightseeing tour of the Las Cañadas del Teide National Park. And part two is exactly what we came here for, the unforgettable and delightful awakening of the luminary. This part consists of the following stages: ascent to the Altavista Alpine shelter, night under myriad stars, climbing the rocky trail to the peak of Teide. Sunrise!!! Descent to the lower funicular station.
P.S. The funicular operates on actual weather.
