The beginning of this amazing excursion will take place along the mountain serpentine with breathtaking observation decks - after all, the clouds will soon be under us! After driving through several climatic zones on the way to the Teide volcano, we will reach the highest mountainous wine region of Spain with lush grapeland, where you can get acquainted with the best Canarian wines. From there we will go to the village-recordsman Vilaflor, which is the highest mountain village in Spain. It is famous for being the birthplace of one of the two Canarian saints canonized by the Vatican, and for the fact that near the village grows the oldest and largest pine of the archipelago, where we will stop to admire its grandiose view. And having overcome a kind of subtropical zone passing through the mountainous terrain, we will get to the Las Cañadas del Teide National Park, which has been under the auspices of UNESCO since 2007 in the status of a World Heritage Site. Guests of the island attractions of volcanic origin can not only see, but also visit them. This applies to the Teide volcano, which is the highest point not only in Spain, but also in the entire Atlantic Ocean. After a series of stops at the observation decks, where natural sights can be seen in all their beauty, you will have the opportunity to climb the funicular to an altitude of 3555 m. Also, you will be able to conquer the summit of the volcano, located at an altitude of 3,718 m, but this requires a special permit in advance, which will require photocopies of passports of all participants in the ascent.
The next points of the excursion on the island of Tenerife will be the European Science Observatory, Lunar Landscapes, where many feature and popular science films were filmed, and "Pie" - a bizarre cutout in the rock, consisting of diverse multi-colored layers of ash, resembling a layered cake.
Visiting the National Park, we will take a picturesque mountain road towards La Esperanza, walking along the way through the eucalyptus and cedar forests. At the end of the tour we will taste the delicious meat on the island in the most authentic restaurant!
