La Palma Island. The Green Pearl of the Atlantic

Description:

Isla Corazón is the island of the heart. Here everything is simple, look at the outline of the island and you will see that it really looks like a heart, a slightly elongated heart.

Isla de Las Estrellas is the island of stars. With the stars, too, everything is clear, clearly in the truest sense of the word, because they can be seen from La Palma, probably best in the northern hemisphere, since the transparency of the atmosphere is recognized as a reference and protected by the law on the purity of the starry sky, adopted by the government of the Canary archipelago. For good reason, an astrophysical observatory was built here, which houses the largest Grantecan telescope in the northern hemisphere, with a diameter of more than 11 meters.

Isla Verde - Green island, also no mystery, almost half of the island is covered with forests and these forests are also very diverse - these are different eco-systems. The north and northeast cover the jungles of the Canarian Lauresilva, in the north and northwest, at altitudes above a thousand meters, laurel-paddle forests prevail, and the Taburiente caldera and the central part of the island are covered with coniferous forests, in which the Canarian pine and Canarian cedar predominate.

Isla Bonita is a beautiful island. It is very beautiful and unlike any other island in the Canary archipelago. Caldera Taburiente is an erosive crater, the largest in the world in terms of the ratio of the area of the island to the depth of the caldera, the beauty and grandeur of which cannot be described in words. The Roque de los Muchachos Astrophysical Observatory and the Cherenkov Telescopes each have a mirror area of 240 square meters. The volcanoes of Tenegia and San Antonio, which covered the south of the island with lava fields, on which bananas and grapes grow and bear fruit with a vengeance. Speaking of grapes, the island of La Palma is completely a wine region. Well, on the sweet, mysterious petroglyphs left in the inheritance of descendants from the aborigines of the island.

San Miguel de La Palma is simply the official name of one of the most beautiful islands in the Canary archipelago.
