Teide Volcano + National Park

A trip to the Teide volcano is a real adventure that you will never forget. Neither photographs nor beautiful lines can convey a small part of what you will see and experience – the eighth wonder of the world. A masterpiece created by the best artist and sculptor-nature. After all, the great poet Vladimir Semyonovich Vysotsky said: “Only mountains can be better than mountains.” By the way, Vysotsky also set foot on the Canary land, in the company of the charming Marina Vlady.

We will start our journey by taking the starting point from your hotel or apartment. We will take one of the two southern roads leading to the volcano, and our first stop will be in the small town of Vilaflora, which is the highest mountain village in Spain, located at an altitude of 1,460 meters above sea level. Have you ever heard of such a natural phenomenon as horizontal rain? Here in the city of Vilaflore, it is not uncommon when vacationers manage to feel this phenomenon of nature on themselves! It was here that the first canonized saint of the Canary Islands was born, whose monument meets us at the entrance.

Most of the way we will be on the mountain serpentine, but please do not be afraid, the only reason why you may not be on its own is the “drunken” effect of mountain air, but believe me, it is a pleasant sensation to absorb oxygen cocktails, which include the impeccable ecological purity of the island, ocean air, almost complete lack of production, pine forests. But let’s talk about everything in order – on the way to our grandfather. Teide, you will find a really large number of pine forests. Canary pine has unique properties, for which the locals almost pray, I will tell you about this during our trip. In the meantime, it’s time to get acquainted with the oldest and largest pine in the Canary archipelago Pino Gordo, its size is so large that only eight people can embrace it, holding hands. It is here that we will make a financial wish, which, thanks to the magical power of the island, will come true! How to do this correctly, I will show you!

Charged with positive emotions, we will continue this wonderful excursion and very soon we will find ourselves in the territory of the Las Cañadas del Teide National Park, which received its status back in 1954. The largest park of the Canary archipelago, with a great variety of landscapes and landscapes, from which the trigger of the camera does not stop working, not for a second!

And then you will find an absolute emotional extravaganza, because through a natural breach, we will drive directly into the crater of the volcano, which has a diameter of 17 kilometers, and it is here that you will be able to see the most vivid and inspiring sights of volcanic origin and will be able not only to see them, but also to take the most incredible photos, walking through these truly magical places. It is here that the peaks of the Teide volcano and its “brothers” will open in all their glory! It is appropriate to say that the height of the peak of the Teide volcano is 3718 meters above sea level, which makes it possible to be the highest point not only of the Canary archipelago, but also of all Spain and the entire Atlantic Ocean. It is here that you will find such amazing places as the beauty rocks - Roques de Garcia, which adorned themselves on the banknote of 1000 pesetas. Here beautiful ladies will be able to try on the Queen's shoe, just keep in mind the size of it is quite unusual! To improve your health, thanks to the healing stone "frog" - please! Seeing a petrified bear stand on its hinds is no problem. Strengthen your family relationships on the ladder of love is easy. All in all, in such unique places, any desire can come true!

I think it’s time to take a breath from the overwhelming impressions and once again enjoy the greatness of this place! That is why we will make a coffee break on the territory of the only residential building - a municipal hotel, in the crater of the volcano, where we will watch the magnificent panoramas.

Having devoted maximum attention to the main volcano of the island, we will continue our journey further, leaving the limits of the national park and moving along one of the most panoramic roads, through pine forests, where you will again have to wonder and admire the diversity of the natural world of Tenerife!
Through frozen lava rivers from the eruption of the Pico Viejo volcano in 1798. There is a high probability of seeing and understanding why the Canaryans claim to have two oceans – the Atlantic Ocean and the Ocean of Clouds!
