Excursion to Cordoba from Malaga
Description:
Cordoba has long been the capital and cultural center of Spain. The city is located on a fertile plain, at the foot of the Sierra Morena mountain and off the coast of the mighty Guadalquivir, thanks to which it attracted various civilizations.
Romans, Visigoths, Moors and Jews lived and flourished on this land, leaving behind a rich architectural footprint.
The historic center of the city is under UNESCO protection. With its beauty and scale, the main mosque of Córdoba is a unique structure that combines two stories and two religions. One of the few synagogues in Spain is preserved in the Jewish Quarter, and it is simply pleasant to walk along its narrow streets, getting acquainted with the monuments and biographies of outstanding people born here. A Roman bridge stretches across the Guadalquivir River with a red carpet meeting dear guests. For almost two thousand years, this bridge was the only link between southern and northern Andalusia.
