Grand Beach

Spain, Costa Brava, Tossa de Mar

Description:

A complete holiday for the whole family is the Grand Beach in Tossa de Mar. Not a very large sandy beach, on the one hand it is bounded by a rugged rocky stretch of coast, on the other - the medieval fortress town of Vila Vella. In the Middle Ages, the castle was designed to protect against pirates. Tourists are happy to go on tours of the fortress. The castle is surrounded by high walls and seven jagged towers, which have remained almost intact since their construction.

While walking along the promenade along the beach, you can also see several art monuments: a statue of Minerva, a sculpture of Bonavenur Anson and a memorial stone dedicated to the Catalan writer Jacinth Verdayer.
