Fluvia River

Catalonia, Spain

Description:

The Fluvia River is a river that originates in the Falgars d'en Bass Mountains.

This river belongs to the rivers of the Mediterranean basin. About 70 kilometers of Fluvia flows through the provinces of the Catalonia region north through Olot, in particular through the provinces of La Garrocha and Empord Alta. Further, the river flows into the Mediterranean Sea in the municipality of San Pedro Pescador.

This is not a very deep and wide river - in the widest part the distance between its banks is no more than a hundred meters. Fluvia has four main tributaries.

There are many sandbanks along the river, which are often hidden under a small layer of water. On the banks of the river there is a dense deciduous forest.
