The city is located on a plateau about 750 m above sea level and seems divided in two by the Tajo de Ronda, a gorge hundred meters deep with the Guadalevín river flowing along its bottom. The western part of this plateau forms rock walls exactly the same as in the Tajo gorge itself. Starting from this place, a vast landscape extends to the mountainous terrain that gave the region its name.
The tour in Ronda can last 2-4 hours, here you can get acquainted with the sights, visit the historical Ronda and plunge into the 10th century, history is everywhere: fortress walls, gates, Bridges on Tahoe Canyon, temples, bullfighting museums.
