Cadiz - sightseeing tour

Description:

The name Cadiz is popularly known as the “silver cup”. The old part of the city is located on a long spit, protruding into the sea for 9 km, and is clearly separated from the modern part by the Gate of the Earth, remaining from the fortress of the XVII-XVIII centuries. On the pedestals in front of the gates are statues of the patrons of Cadiz - San Servando and San Herman.
We offer a sightseeing tour of this city - the oldest in Western Europe, founded in the IV millennium BC.
After a walk along the seaside boulevards, we will visit Plaza de España, where a monument to the Liberal Cortes is erected next to the city hall. Notable is the Cathedral of Cadiz, built in the Baroque and neoclassical style. Within the walls of the cathedral lies the ashes of the world-famous Cadiz composer Manuel de Falla.

One of the attractions of Cadiz is the ancient Genoese Park, which contains exotic plants from the American continent.
The interesting fortress of St. Catherine is a pearl of military engineering architecture of the XVI century.
In addition, we will visit the beach of La Caleta, where one of the series of Bond “Die, but not now” was filmed, walk along Flower Street, ending with a small dead-end square, drowning in flowers. Take a look at the fish market, which has fish stocks throughout the Atlantic: from sea urchins to rare species of shrimp, from tuna to dorada.

Free time in the afternoon can be spent on one of the three beaches of the city.
