Costa del Sol

Costa del Sol: panoramas, mountains and the brightest points of the coast

Description:

Costa del Sol is not just about beaches and resorts. This is the coast, where mountains approach the sea, white villages cling to the slopes, and observation decks offer views for which they return again and again. This route is created for those who want to see the coast holistically - from a height, in motion and from different angles.

The journey begins in Marbella with a walk through the Old Town. Narrow snow-white streets, flowering balconies and cozy squares set the tone for the whole trip and remind of traditional Andalusia, from which the Costa del Sol begins.

Then we go along the coast, gradually rising higher and changing landscapes. One of the stops will be Bioparc Fuengirola - a modern biopark where animals live in an environment as close as possible to the natural. There are no familiar cells, and the routes pass among exotic flora and fauna, creating a sense of travel across different continents.

After that, the route leads to the mountains - to the white village of Mijas, located on the slope. Blooming streets, craft shops and panoramas of the coast allow you to see the Costa del Sol from a more calm, almost rustic side.

In Benalmadena we will see Castillo Monumento Colomares – one of the most unusual castles in Spain, dedicated to Christopher Columbus. Its architecture is a fantasy on the theme of medieval fortresses, symbols and eras of great discoveries.

Then we will stop at one of the best observation decks of the coast - near Mariposario de Benalmádena and Stupa de la Iluminación, where in clear weather you can see not only the coast, but also Gibraltar and North Africa.

The culmination of the trip will be the climb on the cable car to the top of Monte Calamorro. From the height opens some of the most impressive panoramas of the Costa del Sol. There is also a nursery of birds of prey and there are demonstration flights of eagles and falcons.

The final point of the route will be Torremolinos – a resort with wide beaches and unusual rock formations, ideal for photos. If desired, you can also visit a crocodile park or one of the largest water parks in the region.

The trip takes place at a comfortable pace, with the ability to make stops for rest, photos and change the route depending on the interests of the group.
