If you are on the coast in Fuengirola, the nearest mountain village is Mijas. It's a lovely place. The white squares of the houses seem to have caught on the mountainside. We go there to learn all the charms of rural life. The narrow streets of the old city speak of the centuries-old history of the village. Some of them eat donkeys. They are Mijas' pride.
Nowhere on the coast is there a donkey taxi, only here. Every morning, at about 9 o’clock, donkeys are brought from the pen to the city center to a special parking lot for quadrupeds, where they wait their time to ride tourists on their backs. Their working day in summer lasts until 22:00, and in winter - until 18:00. The cost of a walk on a donkey is 10 euros, in a cart - 15. The church in the rock will surprise you. Indelible impressions will leave the observation deck. Panoramic views of the Costa del Sol and the Mediterranean Sea will open your eyes. Upon request, we will visit one of the oldest bullfighting arenas and a museum dedicated to bullfighting.
