Tour of the east coast of the Costa del Sol with a private guide
Description:
A tour of the east coast with a private guide will begin from the city, which is the generally accepted center of the Costa del Sol - Malaga.
It is the largest city on the coast and the capital of the province with the same name. The greatest interest here is the ancient fortress of Alcazada, built in the tenth century, with the castle of Castillo de Gibraltaro. Since the reign of the Romans, the remains of an amphitheater built at the end of the first and beginning of the second century AD have been preserved in the city center. It is worth visiting the house-museum of the famous artist Pablo Picasso, with a huge collection of paintings by the artist.
Further, an individual excursion moves eastward and enters the City of Nerja.
The most famous attraction of Nerja is the natural observation deck, the so-called Balcony of Europe, so called by the Spanish king Alfonso XII, who visited Nerja in 1885. On the Balcony of Europe, in the twenty-first century, there is a monument to the king, in life size.
Another famous landmark of the city of Nerja and an individual excursion of the east coast are many ancient caves. The caves near the town of Nerja were discovered in 1959. The total area of Cueva de Nerja Cave is almost 5 football fields. There are three halls in the cave – the Hall of Ghosts, the Cascade Hall and the Cataclysm Hall. Not all caves are open for inspection and visits.
For tourists, a route of about 2 kilometers is open. It will take about fifty minutes to complete this path. In addition to stalactites and stalagmites, of different shapes and sizes, the caves are interesting with rock paintings of primitive inhabitants, whose age is twenty thousand years.
The East Coast carries many secrets and mysteries, we will try to solve them together.
