Málaga

From the Mediterranean to the Atlantic

Description:

Route: departure point – Casares – Manilva – San Luis de Sabinillas – Sotogrande – La Linea de Conception – architectural reserve “Buelo Claudio” – beaches of Bologna – Tarifa

This trip is an express acquaintance of the Costa del Sol and Campo de Gibraltar. During the trip we will visit the mountain village of Casares. You will get acquainted with the history of this settlement and enjoy the wonderful landscapes that open from the highlands. Next, we will make a stop in La Linea de Concepción, near the customs point of Gibraltar. We will not proceed to the peninsula itself, but we will make a small photo shoot and receive information about the history of these lands. The Strait of Gibraltar is very clearly visible from the observation deck near Tarifa. We'll definitely stop.

Next, we will admire the luxurious beaches of Balonia. There, among the white sands, are the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Buelo Claudio. We will visit this architectural monument that will leave us indelible impressions.

The last stop on our trip will be Tarifa. In the city itself, a walking route will be laid along the old streets of the historic center, climb the stairs to the medieval fortress wall and admire the Strait of Gibraltar. Visit the southernmost point of Europe and the Iberian Peninsula - Cape Marroquín. In this place there is a platform where information boards were placed for the convenience of visitors. Being here, you can see the waters of the Mediterranean Sea on one side, and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. As one friend of mine said, “A visit to Cape Marroquin is an exclamation point at the end of the journey!”
