The Cathedral of San Sebastian is the largest temple in the province of Gipuzcoa. It looks a lot like Cologne Cathedral. In front of the cathedral there is a cozy square for rest.
The construction of the temple began in 1888. The new temple was consecrated in 1897. In its shape, it represents a Latin cross with an area of about 2,000 square meters. The building consists of three naves with a transept and an altar part. The central nave reaches a height of 25 meters, the bell tower - 75 meters.
In the main chapel there is a sculpture of the Good Shepherd, made by Jose Llemon. Inside the temple is a remarkable organ weighing 30 tons, which in 1954 was the largest organ in the country. The crypt contains the remains of the first priest Martin Lorenzo de Urisar.
