Castilnovo Castle

Castilnovo Castle is a rich archaeological and historical heritage of the suburb of Sepulveda.

In order to be on the territory of the castle, visitors need to pass by the forest of poplars, juniper and oaks.

A noticeable element in the interior and architecture of the fortress of Kastilnovo is the Gothic style of “mudejar”. The design also shows the remains of Elizabethan, neoclassical and Moorish trends.

Since the main style in the interior and exterior of the castle is Gothic style, the atmosphere of the fortress is created in the best traditions of the Mudejara: multi-bladed and horseshoe-shaped arches, vaulted ceilings, wooden ceilings and structural and decorative elements.

Within the walls of Castillovo, a foundation is established, which is a Latin American and Mexican cultural association, whose work is aimed at studying Mexican and Spanish history. Currently, the fortress of Kastilnovo is a large architectural monument, causing great interest among experts and tourists.
