Lake Albufera

Lake Albufera is a freshwater lake located on the sea coast. It can rightly be considered a unique place. Here lives a huge number of birds of various species, and around there are green rice fields. The depth of the lake is not too great - on average about two and a half meters, and it decreases annually. For comparison, in the Middle Ages the area of the lake was more than modern almost ten times. The reason for the drying up of the lake is the gradual drainage of the surrounding lands. The Spanish government took him into custody and the area around the lake was declared a conservation area.
