Plaza des bulls in Valencia
Description:
The bull square in Valencia is one of the largest squares in Spain. The square is located in the heart of Valencia, near the railway station Estaci n del Norte. The square was founded in the period 1850-1860 in the classical style. Also on the bull square is the central station of Valencia, the school of bullfighters and the bullfighting museum.
Even in the bull square is the famous bull arena of Valencia, the appearance of which is partially reminiscent of the Colosseum. It has four galleries decorated with columns and 384 rounded arches. As a result of a fire in 1946, three stands of the arena were destroyed, and they were restored only in 1986 during the reconstruction. The square is quite popular, especially many tourists are observed during Holy Week, when bullfights begin.
