Rice Museum

Spain, Valencia, str. Rosario, 1

About the company:

The Rice Museum provides an opportunity for everyone to learn many interesting facts about one of the most popular cereal crops - rice, how it grows, about harvesting, processing and proper cooking. The museum is housed in an old rice mill that was built in 1935.

This amazing wooden structure still exists, thanks to the efforts of local rice producers. Throughout the history of its existence, the mill changed owners several times, who tirelessly improved the simple mechanism in accordance with the requirements of modern times. However, the technology of rice processing has not changed, so today the process of processing cereals in the same order as it was produced a century ago is demonstrated here.

During a tour of the old mill, you can also get acquainted with different varieties of rice, learn the intricacies of growing crops, the process of processing grains before selling and the secrets of preparing rice dishes. The Rice Museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 to 20.30 (there is a break for lunch), on Sunday from 10.00 to 15.00.
