Cinema Museum in Girona

The Cinema Museum in Girona is one of the most interesting and unusual museums in the world. It was opened in 1998 with the personal funds of Catalan director Thomas Mallol. The museum presents a huge amount of cinematographic equipment, original tapes, projectors and the best collection of posters. In total, it exhibits about 30,000 exhibits. Visiting the cinema museum, you can see exclusive animated drums, the projector of the Lumer brothers and much more.

Also here is collected a huge number of cartoons, films, posters and photos, which depict actors of different eras. The museum presents the whole history of cinema, which reflects a whole era of people’s lives. The museum is not a commercial organization, but has an information and historical character.
