Gala Castle Museum
About the company:
The medieval castle, located in the small Catalan village of Pubol, in the province of Girona, the artist Salvador Dali gave his wife in 1968 as a sign of his greatest gratitude. Gala was for the famous genius not just a wife, she was his muse, model, the main character of his creations, love and passion of his life. She used the castle as a summer residence. Here Gala was buried: her ashes rest in the underground tomb of their ancient possessions.
Today the castle is open to visitors and is a museum. Its design is made in the unique style of Dali, taking into account the taste of the woman he adored. Here, along with the paintings and sculptures of the great surrealist, you can see the personal belongings of his wife: clothes, jewelry, furniture and even the car in which her body was taken to Pubol for burial.
