Glass Museum

Israel, Arad, Rova Omanim Artists Village, 11 Ha-Sadan Street

About the company:

The glass museum in Arad is a unique phenomenon in the field of plastic art. This is the studio house of artist Gideon Friedman and other masters, where sculptures from recycled bottle glass are exhibited.

The museum was founded in 2007. The permanent exhibition includes works by Gideon Friedman, made of secondary glass in a unique technique using burners and furnaces designed by the artist himself. In addition, about 20 other artists are exhibited in glass.

The museum holds master classes, lectures on the properties of glass and methods of its processing. Most of the exhibited works can be purchased. Visitors are shown a film about the creation of glass sculptures. Frequently, the tour is conducted by Friedman himself.

The museum has, in addition to the main exhibition hall and store gallery, an audience, a viewing hall and a workshop. There are conditions for people with disabilities.
