Yud-Alef Stadium

Yud-Alef Stadium, Ashdod, Israel

Description:

Yud Aled Stadium was built in 1966. It is a landmark of the Israeli city of Ashdod. It owes its name to a tragic event that occurred in 1973. 11 Israeli athletes were killed during the 1972 Munich Olympics, and it was decided to rename the stadium to honor their memory. Its construction was intended for local football teams. This is the home stadium for Adshot Football Club. The stadium can accommodate about 8 thousand spectators. In 2005, a reconstruction was carried out, during which the mistakes of past builders were corrected. This allowed the stadium to continue to function.

You can get there by city buses 151, 23, 315, 325, 448, 5.
