Massada Fortress

The fortress of Masada is located in the southern part of the Dead Sea and amazes with its scale. The place has a huge historical value and is the ruins of palaces, many rocks and fortifications. In summer, light and music shows are held near the fortress.

Climbing to the fortress is most convenient on the funicular, but there is also a hiking trail, the path along which will take about 30 minutes. Keep in mind that walking due to the heat can be very difficult.

You can get to the fortress of Massada by car, also from Tel Aviv there is a bus 421, and from Jerusalem 486 (timetables should be specified in advance).
