Timn Reserve

arava Desert, Eilat, Israel

Description:

The Timna Reserve is a historical and archaeological complex that allows you to plunge into the world that existed before our era.

Multicolored sand on the coast of an artificial lake, Solomon pillars, rock paintings - all this heritage you can personally capture here, and in addition to what you see - create your own "ancient" coin.

Having visited the Timna reserve, you can walk to the famous Screw Hill, the stone spiral of which has not yet been studied by scientists, as well as find a huge Stone Mushroom.

It is worth noting that in the protected valley, archaeologists discovered the ancient Egyptian temple of the goddess Hathor - the patroness of heaven and love. And also the mines of King Solomon's Mines, created about 6,000 years ago. It is noteworthy that copper in quiet places stopped mining only in 1983.
