Safed and the Golan Heights

Description:

Safed is an ancient Jewish city, the birthplace of Jewish religious mysticism – Kabbalah. The very location of the city - at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level - isolates Safed from the hustle and bustle of modern life, and indeed, walking along the narrow streets of the old city, you feel that time has stopped here, and even tourists from different countries can not prevent the leisurely flow of life in this holy place for Jews. Only in Safed is there a ladder of the Messiah, on which every person can ascend, and on which, according to the tradition of the inhabitants of Safed, the Messiah himself will pass.

The air here is transparent and clean, intoxicating and purifying, opening the secret reserves of our soul, feeding us with its energy. Ancient synagogues, shops with Judaica, the Kabbalah Center, a candle factory, a winery, a cheese factory, an artists' quarter and, of course, stunning views from the roofs, and many interesting stories, mysticism - all this awaits you in Safed. Or not, rather, we are waiting for the meeting with Safed, waiting for this meeting all our lives.

Safed is located in the Upper Galilee, bordering the Golan - Golan Heights. The modern city of Katzrin is located next to the well-preserved ruins of an ancient settlement, on the site of which today the Talmudic Village Archaeological Park is located. We will visit this place to get acquainted with the life of the ancient inhabitants of the Dutch Heights. In Katzrin is one of the best wineries in Israel, known far beyond its borders - Golan Heights Winery, where you can taste wines from the vineyards of the Golan Heights.

The final point of our tour will be Mount Bental, from the top of which you will see Syria and the Valley of Tears - the place where one of the most dramatic tank battles took place during the 1973 Yom Kippur War.
