Excursion to Jerusalem for children and parents
Description:
I always wanted to come up with a tour of the Holy Land, interesting for travelers with children. Interesting for all ages at the same time, not so much. Our youngest guests very often begin to miss the abundance of historical and religious sites, and this should not be the case.
I promise that on my excursion “Jerusalem for children” will not be boring.
Let’s start, of course, with a wonderful cave in the Sorek Valley. There is no more mysterious and beautiful place in Israel. You can get acquainted with the fantastic world of stalactites and stalagmites, many of which are hundreds of thousands of years old.
Continue the tour in the unique park “Israel in miniature”, which presents many sights of our small country. Past and present, shrines and architectural monuments intertwined in this place miraculously.
There are more than 385 models in the Mini Israel Park. Each human figure is hand-made by the artists of the park. Here are several hundred cars, 50 aircraft and ships, 3 trains. The park has many miniature living bushes and bonsai-style trees.
In Jerusalem, we are waiting for a guided tour along the fortress walls from the Jaffa Gate to the Western Wall. After lunch in the Jewish Quarter, we will take a time elevator to the past of Jerusalem, and will help us with this 3D cinema, which is recognized as one of the most functional information and educational facilities in Israel.
The cinema is closed on Fridays and Saturdays, so you can visit the Bible Zoo. This zoo is famous for the animals mentioned in the Bible.
Note: Entrance to all facilities is paid. The total cost of entrance tickets approx. 40 USD per person.
