Jerusalem

Description:

Jerusalem is Jewish.

Jerusalem for any tourist is an interesting place that combines many contradictions. But in order to know Jerusalem, you need to look at it from different angles. I invite you to see and feel the Jewish Jerusalem.

Central synagogue.

One of the most beautiful and largest synagogues in Israel, one of the most important Jewish sites in Jerusalem. Only in it you can see a collection of Jewish religious attributes from around the world, as well as admire the stained glass windows that adorn the synagogue.

Vashem poison.

Museum of the Holocaust of European Jewry. The museum is designed to preserve and convey the memory of the tragedy of the 20th century. The unique exhibition allows visitors to see the Holocaust through the eyes of Jews. The collection of authentic objects, documents, eyewitness accounts, films, diaries, letters, works of art – all this allows you to see history from a completely different side.

The tomb of Rachel's great-mother.

The biblical story of how Jacob worked for 14 years to marry the girl he fell in love, I think, is familiar to many. Her name is Rachel. We will go with you to the place, which according to ancient tradition is considered the burial place of the great-grandmother Rachel. Described by many ancient travelers, it attracts pilgrims from all over the world. It is believed that if a pregnant woman comes to the tomb and takes a small pebble with her, the birth should take place easily and quickly.

King David's tomb.

King David was close to God, who made Jerusalem the capital of the Jewish kingdom. Even today, in different parts of the world, the Psalms of David are pronounced, in which he sang his love for God. Interesting stories surround his name. What is true and what is fiction? That is what we will try to find out with you.

The Jewish Quarter of the Old City.

Every corner of this block is saturated with a stunning chamber atmosphere. History and modernity are intertwined in every alleyway, so that everyone walking here falls into another world. The world of tradition, the world of the Almighty’s intimacy, into a completely different life, which previously you could only see in pictures. The foundations of the walls of the Old City, Cardo street 2-4 centuries AD, destroyed and rebuilt synagogues, 4 Sephardic synagogues - all this will tell us a stunning and interesting Jewish history of the city.

The Burnt House Museum.

During excavations in the Old City, a building from the Second Jewish Temple was discovered. It turned out to be a house in which the family of a high-ranking priest lived in ancient times. We will have a unique opportunity to see and learn how people from the upper society of Jerusalem during the Second Temple lived in everyday life.

Herodian Quarter Museum.

Underground Archaeological Museum of the Old Town. It is the largest indoor archaeological site in Israel. A favorite joke of guides to Jerusalem in this museum is: "Who destroys the archaeological antiquities most?" Answer: "Archaeologists."

The Quarter Museum is a collection of six interconnected former courtyard-houses located once on a hillside overlooking the Temple Mount. Three houses are well preserved. We will see frescoes, colored plaster, mosaics, somewhere even a restored fragment of the stucco ceiling. Luxury Greco-Roman style, baths and mikvahs, cellars and stoves, stone, terracotta and ceramic dishes, lamps, many household items, amphorae, in which wine was brought and olive oil was stored, stone and glass products, household utensils - many finds that give us an idea of another, ancient life.

Weeping wall.

One of the most important and important shrines of Jerusalem. The Western Wall is the only fragment of the Temple Mount wall that has survived to this day. It is believed that the divine presence never departs from it. People all over the world come to Jerusalem to touch the eternal stones, and perhaps to make their deepest wishes.
