Jerusalem—Khan railway station

Jerusalem in the footsteps of Jesus

Description:

On this route through Jerusalem we will visit almost everywhere he has ever been. We will begin our journey with the Chapel of the Ascension of the Lord – the place of Jesus’ ascension to heaven. From there, we will walk to the cave where Jesus taught his disciples the prayer “Our Father”, and then proceed to the observation deck, from where Jerusalem and its shrines are seen like a palm.

Descending to the Valley of the Last Judgment, we will stop where, mourning this city, Jesus predicted the destruction of Jerusalem, and in the Garden of Gethsemane we will visit the Church of All Nations (Church of the Passion of Christ), standing on the site of the famous prayer for the cup.

Now we will move to the beginning of the Way of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) and pass the Grieving Path to the last XIV Station - to the Holy Sepulchre.

Without reaching the Third Station of the Cross, we will visit the Orthodox Church, which stands on the site of the “Jesus prison”. In the area of Station IX, we will go down to the Cave of the Finding of the True Cross of the Life-Creating One, and in the Alexandrovsky Compound (if there is time) we will worship the Doomsday Gate, passing which the condemned to execution no longer had the right to review the sentence.

In the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, we will ascend to Golgotha (the place of the crucifixion) and enter the Sepulchre (the place of the burial and resurrection) of Jesus. Those who wish can also sanctify relics and burn thirty-three candles (in terms of the number of earthly years of Jesus’ life).

After finishing the ceremonial part of the tour, we will go to the Zion Room, where Jesus and the disciples gathered for the famous Last Supper and there we will complete our itinerary.
