The Dead Sea and Jordan. Place of Baptism

Description:

In this excursion, you can combine the pleasant with the useful or, more correctly, combine spiritual joy with the physical.

So, we begin with the life path of the forerunner of the Savior – John the Baptist. You will be able to plunge into the waters of the Jordan, wash away your sins and feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in the very real place of Jesus’ baptism. After that, you will visit one of the most ancient monasteries of the Holy Land - the monastery of St. Gerasim. In the monastery belonging to the Greek Orthodox Church, you can worship the rarest icon – the Virgin Mammal.

You will have the opportunity to buy fresh creams with Dead Sea minerals for yourself and your favorite at the price of the manufacturer, and also with additional discounts and gifts.

We will continue our tour of the Dead Sea. At your choice, it can be either a comfortable spa with all amenities or a public beach in Ein Boquek.

If you like archaeology and history, I highly recommend that you replace your trip to Jordan with a visit to one of the two most important places for this country – Masada or Qumran.

Masada is one of the fortresses of Herod the Great, where during the great anti-Roman uprising a group of Jewish golds performed a great feat. Qumran is the place where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls belonging to the Essene community were discovered. Qumran is a mystery that has not been solved yet.
