Church of All Nations

Garden of Gethsemane, Jerusalem, Israel | Foot of the Mount of Olives

Description:

The Church of All Nations (also known as the Church of the Basilica of the Agony of the Lord) is a Catholic monastery built in the 20th century.

The construction was made in neo-Byzantine style by the famous builder Antonio Belucci in honor of the sufferings of the Lord.

It was here that Jesus Christ performed the Gethsemane Prayer thousands of years ago.

The church was named after 12 domes, which symbolize the unification of the countries of the world. The walls are decorated with drawings of saints, which gives a special atmosphere.

The church can be reached by bus from the main bus station of Jerusalem and then climb on foot to the Mount of Olives.
