Valley of the Cross
Description:
The Valley of the Cross is located in the heart of the capital of the Promised Land. There are pine trees and olive trees. It is a hilly area with many alleys and courtyards where you can walk endlessly. Traveling through this valley, you can visit the Orthodox male monastery of the Holy Cross.
Legend has it that on the site where the monastery now stands, a tree grew, which was planted by a biblical character after escaping from the city of debauchery. It was cut down to make a cross for the crucifixion of the son of God.
This valley is worth a visit to all who first came to Israel and want to feel the atmosphere of the holy places.
