The world-famous Jewish National Cemetery is located on a hill 834 meters high. The complex is called "Mount Herzl" - in memory of Theodor Herzl. Thus the Jewish people perpetuated the founder of Zionism. Herzl's own grave is on top.
In the memorial complex you can see many attractions: military graves, the famous Holocaust memorial (Yad Vashem) and others. The greatest leaders of Israel have the honor of being buried here.
There are four ways to reach the Mount of Memory from Jerusalem:
- on foot (about an hour of time);
- tram (20 minutes);
- bus (9 minutes);
- taxi (7 minutes).
