Park Wall Roz
Eliezer Kaplan Street, Jerusalem, Israel | West Jerusalem
Description:
Wall Rose Park is home to four hundred varieties of roses collected from around the world. The park covers 77 hectares and is located in the Givat Ram district of Jerusalem between the Supreme Court and the Knesset. The park was established in 1981. It is one of the few parks in the Middle East where these beautiful flowers are grown, as there is practically no rainfall in the summer. The park has been declared one of the eleven most beautiful rose gardens in the world.
In addition to the 15,000 rose bushes cultivated here, the park has lawns, hills, an ornamental fish pond, a waterfall and sculptures. The mosaic of the VI century, found during excavations in Kibbutz Sde Nahum, was installed here for the viewing of tourists.
