Description:

The monastery of Notre-Dame de Zion is an ancient temple in Jerusalem, built in the XIX century by a Catholic priest from France Marie-Alphonse Ratisbonne.

On the territory of the temple, archaeologists found many valuable things and relics. Under the very building of the monastery, as it turned out, there was a large platform lined with Roman plates. A huge cistern called the Strutillion Pool was also found. The main building of the monastery is the church of Ecce Homo and the arch that adjoins it.

Notre Dame de Zion is located in the old part of the city on Via Dolorosa 41. The easiest way to get here is by public transport.
