Byzantine street in Jerusalem
Description:
Byzantine street in Jerusalem is the oldest street during Byzantine rule. At first, archaeologists noticed a street on the map in St. George’s Church in Madaba, but could not specify the location. But under a four-meter layer of land in the old city found ancient columns, ceramics, coins and other evidence that it is a Byzantine street. Here more than a thousand and a half years ago there was an active trade in various accessories.
You can get to the street by public transport to the Jaffa Gate. And then walk to David Street, where Byzantine Street is located.
