Ein Yael Museum

ooh Nahal Refaim

About the company:

During archaeological excavations in the 1970s-1980s, scientists discovered a lot of interesting things. In the valley found traces of settlements belonging to several historical periods: to the middle bronze, to the late iron, to the era of Roman rule.

Existing in this area agricultural farm belongs to the type of "terraced", the most common in the Jerusalem mountains. There are baths, pools, ponds, and the water supplier is a source flowing through a forty-meter underground tunnel.

Each terrace of the museum is reserved for one of the crafts: stone processing industry, ceramic, wooden. The local workshop for the manufacture of clay and ceramic products has no analogues either in Israel or in the whole world.

Visitors are invited to take part in the life of the museum: bake bread, make ceramic dishes and clothes, and much more.
