Museum of Jewish Art in Italy

Hillel 27, Jerusalem, Israel

About the company:

The name of the museum should not be surprising. The fact is that the Jewish diaspora in Italy for many centuries was one of the most numerous. The exposition presents a variety of objects of Jewish art belonging to a member of the community from the town of Veneto, which is located near Venice. Among the museum exhibits are products created in the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque times!

To immerse yourself in the unusual atmosphere of the museum, you just need to imagine the magnificent Italy with its majestic castles, architectural masterpieces, beautiful examples of painting, sculptures and look at it all through the prism of another cultural tradition. Elegance, beauty, aesthetics and harmony – an amazing era opens before visitors. Especially good are luxurious embroidery decorated with gold thread, engraved silver cups and ancient manuscripts.

The main highlight of the exposition is the synagogue brought from the town of Conelano Veneto, located near Venice, which is more than 300 years old. In addition to fascinating excursions, concerts and solemn events are regularly held in the museum.
