Museum of Tank Equipment "Beit HaSharion"

Latrun, 15 km west of Jerusalem, Israel

About the company:

The Beit HaSharion Tank Museum is located near the Latrun crossroads. This is a hill opposite the Cistercian monastery, which was founded by the Templars many centuries ago and went down in history as the famous La Toron. The center of the museum is an old post of the British police - it is a fortified rectangle-shaped fort, the walls of which are completely dotted with holes from bullets and fragments of shells.

On the wall limiting the territory of the museum on one side, the names of fallen heroes are carved. It is a symbol of the struggle for independence, a constant reminder of the terrible sacrifice that the Jewish people had to make to win their independence from the countless hordes of enemies who sought to enslave this people and abuse their faith. The wall is always crowded with people who don't just look at the wall - these people are looking for familiar names - dead relatives, acquaintances. And, alas, they do.

The main part of the exposition is represented by military equipment from around the world. About 200 units of tanks, armored personnel carriers, sapper armored vehicles, self-propelled units, jeeps and other armored vehicles are exhibited here. The exhibits of the museum are produced not only by Israeli enterprises, there are Soviet, English, German, French and American equipment. Each of the exhibits was once in service with the Israeli army, or was captured as a trophy. The exposition is not limited only to tank equipment, there are many other weapons on display.
