Yad Vashem Museum Complex

Yad Vashem Museum complex of Holocaust and heroism on the Mount of Memory in Jerusalem. The museum is a huge building made of gray concrete, once inside of which you will feel depression and pressure. The memorial was founded in 1953 with the aim of perpetuating the memory of the Jews who suffered in 1933-1945 at the hands of fascism. Yad Vashem is visited by more than one million people a year.

Around the museum is the Garden of the Righteous Among the Nations, which houses the Alley of Heroes, which was created to honor the people who saved Jews during the difficult time of World War II, risking their lives.

The museum has created an electronic database of the names of Holocaust victims, which every visitor has access to: by entering your name, you can see if the Holocaust touched your ancestors.
