Atarot Airport

Not far from the Israeli industrial zone of Atarot is the airport of the same name.
The history of Atarot Airport dates back to 1918. The civil administration that came to power decided to build the airport that the country needed so much. Construction was carried out on lands belonging to the small Jewish community of Atarot.
After the territory on which the airport was built became part of Israel, the authorities decided to invest a significant amount of money in the improvement and modernization of the airport. However, all work has been suspended due to conflicts over the disputed location of the airport. International aviation authorities and international organizations did not want to recognize the airport as part of Israel.
