Aghamon Ahula Park
Description:
There are quite a few parks in Israel that are open all year round, and in any season there is something to see. In contrast, Agamun Ahula National Park receives a massive raid of visitors only twice a year. At this time, the entire park becomes a resting place for the annual migration of more than 500 million birds. Every day, thousands of species of birds flock to the lake for the night, striking the imagination of visitors to the park.
You can see them in the sky, on the ground or on the surface of a lake, but it always makes an incredible impression. Twice a year, herons, cranes, pelicans and even some species of birds of prey come here. Sometimes the sky turns black from the number of birds.
You can get to Agamun Ahula Park on foot or on a small golf cart. You can also take several bicycles with special trailers for children. The average walking route in the park is about ten kilometers. On the territory there are several convenient observation decks, the most popular of which is called the Green Bridge. The natural nature of the park is very strictly guarded, and park rangers are vigilant to ensure that guests do not harm or frighten the birds.
