Jewish Jerusalem

Description:

The Jaf Gate. From the port of Jaffa - from the sea gate to the Promised Land - 3 days walked to this gate, arriving by the Mediterranean from Europe once. Along the walls of the 16th century, overlooking the Yamin Moshe quarter, we will go to the Mount of Zion. Nearby is the grave of Oscar Schindler, where the descendants of the Jews he saved from the gas chambers come to lay a symbol of unfading memory - a pebble that will not be carried away by the wind of change. From the top of the Mount of Zion we will go to the fortified walls.

We will visit the tomb of King David on Mount Zion and enter the Old City through the Zion Gate to the Square of 4 Synagogues. If possible, take a look at downtown Moria. Near the square are excavations of the oldest wall of the city - the time of David and Solomon, X century BC. Walk through the ancient Cardo in the Jewish Quarter and go down to the Western Wall, which until 1967 was called the Western Wall.

The Temple Mount is the holiest place for the Jewish people. According to legend, the Creation of the world began on this mountain, and the sacrifice of Isaac took place. About 3 thousand years ago, King Solomon built the First Temple on the mountain, here the Jews who returned to Zion built the Second Temple.

The Wailing Wall is one of the support walls built by Herod in the first century BC. Every day, thousands of Jews visit the Wall, which became a symbol of the rebirth of the Jewish people, to offer prayers and turn their innermost requests to the Almighty. Let us give thanks and wishes to the Divine Presence, which never left the Temple Mount.

In any form – written, verbal, mental... but always carefully, because everything will come true exactly as you formulate. After lunch in a kosher restaurant, we can go to the excavations around the Temple Mount, in the center of Davidson, or to the underground part of the excavations of the City of King David. Or we can walk along the walls of the Old City to the Tower of David, or go to the western part of Jerusalem – to the Yad Vashem memorial complex. Jerusalem is an infinite universe, it is worth visiting for more than one day, slowly.
