Go down to Ramon Crater with a unique geological history. Presumably, the crater was formed by prolonged leaching of soft rock by the life-giving waters of the Ramon stream. This is the largest pit in the world - a crater that arose not from the fall of a meteorite, but as a result of intense erosion, which lasted for several million years: waters slowly, stubbornly washed away the soil, exposing the geological layers of different epochs. One of the unique phenomena at the bottom of the pit, a geological phenomenon: an incredible number of sand formations, having the form of regular prisms from 3 to 6 faces, piled into piles like blanks for a carpentry workshop. This rare phenomenon is the result of magma emissions followed by the melting of the sandy rock at the top of the hill to a liquid state. And during solidification, it crystallizes in the form of quartz bars, similar to huge... pencils! Nearby - a whole wall of amonites, fossilized mollusks. How and when did the Amonites appear here?
