The Infinite Diversity of Tel Aviv-Jaffa
Description:
The infinite diversity of Tel Aviv-Jaffa. There are embassies of all countries, but it is not the capital. It is the first modern Jewish city founded here. The eccentric founders of this city wanted to see in it the New York of the Mediterranean. So, together with me, your personal guide, in a comfortable car, we will make an individual tour of young Tel Aviv and the oldest Jaffa. In the lobby of the first skyscraper Meir Shalom, we will plunge into the world of the beginning of the century and you will feel how this current metropolis began. Continuing this theme, we will walk along Rothschild Boulevard, where the exciting past coexists with the seething modernity. Then we will go to the first Jewish district of Jaffa, Neve Zedek, built in the XIX century outside the city walls. Its houses, streets and alleys still retain the unique aura of those days. We will remember the gray days of the ancient Greek myth about Andromeda, the brave Perseus and the sea monster-serpent, the fossilized remains of which you will see. I will tell you how important this port has been in all ages since the time of King Solomon. We will walk through the narrow streets of Jaffa, in one of the houses of St. George. Peter received the command of the Lord ... to abandon the covenant of kosher. In the center of the city and the large Catholic Church of Peter, and nearby and the Orthodox Church of St. Peter. Petra, dedicated to another biblical event, the miracle of the revival of Tabitha. Excavations conducted in Jaffa revealed the presence of the ancient Egyptians here more than three thousand seven hundred years ago. We will remember Napoleon’s visit to the city and talk about his habitual attitude towards sick soldiers. The sculptures of the Gate of Faith, the Floating Orange Tree, and the entire artists’ quarter with its museums, workshops and shops will remain in your memory for life. And we will end our busy day in Jaffa-Turkish. Our unique city by the sea is waiting for you!
