National Youth Day in Cameroon

Description:

Day of Youth
Youth Day is a clear evidence of the importance that the younger generation has for the state. It has been celebrated since 1961, when the two parts of Cameroon were reunited.

Since 1967, Cameroon Youth Day has become a national event celebrating the important role that youth play in society. As a rule, National Youth Day is preceded by Youth Week, which from year to year, since 1967, is held under various slogans and themes – this is the problem of fighting AIDS, responsibility, the future of Cameroon, and entrepreneurship.

The popularity of this holiday is a powerful incentive to motivate the achievements of young people, to expand horizons and conduct new dialogues, in order to cultivate such qualities as respect, justice and honesty in the younger generation.
