The festive atmosphere reigns almost everywhere. Balls and garlands of light bulbs are hung on trees. Music stations broadcast holiday songs around the clock, newspapers are full of announcements about Christmas sales and holiday evenings.

Some local artists have a distant idea of Santa Claus’ appearance and portray him as black-browed and youthful. And reindeer are drawn with a horse's body and two steep horns.
