Laughter Day (Fool's Day)
Description:
April 1st - Fools' Day - is celebrated in Canada as much fun as in the world.
But where did this custom come from? He came from France. In the 16th century a new calendar was introduced. The New Year’s Eve, which began on April 1st, has now been moved to January 1st – and since the news spread very slowly at the time (well, they had no radio, no TV, no Internet!) – some continued to celebrate New Year’s Eve for a while in April, for which they were teased by “April fools.”
Gradually, the custom of fooling friends and relatives, pouring salt or pepper into a sweet pie into their sugar bowl (cute such jokes), and even calling the fooled “April fish” went from France to walk around the world, and so it still walks with all its might.
